Expanded Screening Opportunities and Enriching Activities:The 4thChineseMusicsEthnographicFilm Festival (CMEFF) will be held in Shanghai from July 14–19. Hosted by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the festival will collaborate with multiple screening venues across the city. Films selected for the symposium will also have the opportunity to be featured as special invited screenings at the festival.

电影节期间的更多展映机会与丰富活动：第四届华语音乐影像志电影节（CMEFF）将于7月14日至19日在上海举行。本次电影节由上海音乐学院主办，并将与上海多家放映场地合作，为入围影片提供更广泛的展映平台。此外，研讨会入围的影片也将有机会作为特邀影片在电影节中展映。

In addition, all officially registered symposium participants will have full access to the film festival and its diverse activities, including:

投稿方式

The deadline for submissions is 28 Feb. 2025. All proposals should be sent to qiaoqiaocheng922@gmail.comwith the subject line indicating whether your submission is a paper, a film or a workshop. The email should include the name of the author(s), the title of the presentation, and an attached file (Word or Open Office format) containing the abstract (max. 250 words) and 5 keywords without any referencetoauthorship. Each individual may submit up to one proposal in each category (i.e., 1 paper + 1 film).

Categories and Requirements

Papers: Presentations will be allocated 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute discussion. The use of audiovisual materials during presentations is encouraged.

论文（Papers）：

• 每位发言人将有20分钟演讲时间，随后进行10分钟讨论

• 强烈鼓励在演讲中使用影音材料

Films: We welcome full-length ethnographic films (maximum 90 minutes), short films, and curated collections of short films (2-4 films) that share a thematic connection. Film abstracts must include a hyperlink to a trailer, teaser, or the complete film. The Film Committee may request the full film for evaluation. Films should be available in at least 1080p resolution and should not exceed 5GB in file size. The submitted abstract (max. 250 words) should explain the film’s ethnographic significance, purpose, and engagement with ethnomusicological themes.

类型包括：

• 民族志纪录长片（最多90分钟）

• 短片或主题短片合集（2-4部主题相关的短片）

• 投稿需包含影片预告片、剪辑片段或完整影片的超链接（百度网盘、Google Drive等）

• 评审委员会可能会要求申请者提供完整影片进行评审

• 影片需至少1080p清晰度，文件大小不超过5GB

• 摘要需阐述影片的民族音乐学价值、目的及其与研究主题的关联

Workshops: There is no particular format or form for the workshop proposals, but they should be non-presentational occasionsofsharing experience-based knowledge of specific audiovisual technologies, research techniques, etc. Workshops should not exceed 2 hours. The organizers must specifyintothe abstract any special equipment request.

工作坊（Workshops）：

• 形式不限，但需以经验分享为主，不采用传统学术报告形式

• 需在摘要中注明任何特殊设备的需求

• 每场工作坊时长不超过2小时

Evaluation Process

评审流程

All paper submissions will be reviewed using a double-blind peer-review system, Each abstract will be evaluated by two anonymous reviewers, with a third reviewer involved if necessary. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 30 March 2025.

论文投稿采用双盲同行评审制度，每篇摘要将由两位匿名评审评估，如有争议，将邀请第三位评审。结果通知时间：2025年3月30日。
